Welcome to FCA Eastern Crescent

The "Eastern Crescent" covers East Travis and Bastrop counties . It is home to the historic East Austin which represents a vibrant history and richness of the city's African American population. This includes Downs Field on East 12th Street, home to a Negro League team, the Austin Black Senators and the Huston-Tillotson University Rams. Many baseball legends played there such as, Satchel Paige, Smokey Joe Williams, Willie Mays, Buck O’Neil, and Austin local, Willie Wells.

Our Challenges

It's really hard being a teacher and student today. Depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts are at an all time high. There is a national teacher shortage adding to the 60+ hour work weeks of our coaches.

80% of the students and families in the Eastern Crescent are considered "Economically Disadvantaged." Many of our schools don't have funding or booster clubs to purchase meals and basic sports equipment. FCA is responding.

Our Ministry

FCA is a missions organization that seeks to mobilize and launch missional staff. Our greatest asset is our staff who are deployed around the Eastern Crescent providing ongoing spiritual care & support. When you invest in FCA Staff, you are investing in local missions. E3 Discipleship in Action

As followers of Jesus, we have been called to be disciples who make disciples: “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations…” (Matthew 28:19a). As we follow Him, becoming more like Him every day, we also lead others towards Him. “Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ” (1 Corinthians 11:1). FCA seeks to make disciples through our methods of engaging, equipping, and empowering coaches and athletes to know and grow in Christ and lead others to do the same.

E3 Ministry starts by engaging coaches and athletes through genuine relationships sharing our lives and the gospel (1 Thes. 2:8). We then equip them to grow in Christ through God's Word (Eph. 4:12). Finally, we empower coaches and athletes to engage and equip others to know and grow in Christ (2 Tim. 2:2). This is FCA!

Staff Growth Fund

Jesus said in Luke 10:2, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field."

The E.C. Growth Fund was created to raise up and launch local missionary FCA staff to the harvest fields of the Eastern Crescent! Please consider supporting our local staff monthly, or invest in THIS fund to launch them into the harvest field!

Micah 6:8 Benevolence Fund

Micah 6:8 says, "He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God."

We launched this fund to help provide meals, shoes, equipment, and FCA camp scholarships to those in need. Contact us or learn how you can help us minister in tangible ways

Become a Character Coach

A Character Coach is a Certified FCA Volunteer who establishes a consistent ministry presence with specific teams and/or a local campus. Their primary role is to demonstrate E3 Discipleship!

You must complete our Ministry Leadership Application, Complete our E3 Discipleship Cousrse, and you will be connected to our Staff!
